Let customers speak for us
from 164 reviewsWe just purchased a mowrator and can’t believe how it really mows banks with no problem It holds to the hillside unbelievable the best thing we purchased in a long time everything they advertise about this mower is true had to see it to believe it

This machine is a BEAST! It'll run through 16-inch field grass and never break a sweat. Easy to clean. Charges quickly. Easy to use controls. Excellent safety features. 4WD is perfect for my field with a 30-degree slope.

This thing has been super impressive, I've been able to mow every few days without the dreadful thought of being tired or hot. My yard is all hill and it's not a little hill it's steep to the point a riding power would tip and ive flipped a push mower at times. I've met neighbors I've never talked to before in the 6 years of owning my home because they want to know about the mower. Battery is very efficient and having solar was a no brainer to allow for an immediate rto not paying for gas. So far so good and look forward to the trimmer attachment.

I looked at autonomous mowers , and riding mowers. The autonomous mowers all have tiny razor blades and don’t bag really. A riding mower would take a car spot in my garage, I bought the 2wd Mowrator. The mowrator will cut up anything in my tree filled yard, bags everything , and is much faster than mowing by push mower. It’s easy to drive and makes mowing much easier. But it ends up that it cuts the grass really well and my yard looks great. Standing on edge in my garage is nice too. My only wish is that it was autonomous, or at least FPV with an iPhone so I see in front of it.

I live on two acres with steep inclines and hills in the Georgia foothills. I bought the Mowrater with 4 wheel drive and it leaves a great cut on anything it tackles. When I say the grades are steep I mean you can't walk up some of them. I give the Mowrater a small running start on the steepest banks and it cuts right to the top with no problems. I am a senior with back pain, this is a life saver.

I purchased this since I have a bad back and couldn't use my riding mower anymore and this has allowed me to tack back control of my yard work. I have put it thru its paces and it has performed as advertised. Being a mechanical engineer it's design function is well thought out. Once you get the hang of the controller and how it works you'll have fun.

A great remote control slope mower that cuts as well (or better) than traditional turf mowers. I purchased a 4 wheel drive Mowrator to maintain a acre hillside that is too steep to mow with a tractor or use a push mower. This is my second remote control slope mower. My first one was a gas power dual track mower that weighed over 500 lbs. It performed well but care had to be used with turning and maneuvering due to tracks tearing up the sod. Due to the weight of the mower the driveline failed after 1 season of mowing. The Mowrator cut path is less than my first mower but the cutting time is less because of Mowrator maneuverability. It's light weight and battery drive makes it great for blade changes and routine maintenance.
Although the Mowrator is very capable, more care is needed with clearing the mow area of down branches and hidden roots or rocks. The blade is a thinner gauge than traditional gas mowers blades which probably add to battery time and protects the motor shaft if an object is struck.
The Mowrator battery time is very good depending on height and type of grass. I generally set the blade to smart mode which seems to be best for battery time. The remote control is predictable and responsive. I have found when turning on a steep hill to keep the mower straight when going uphill then turn when backing to prevent the over spinning the turning wheels and losing momentum. On the steepest section of my yard I mow up and down otherwise I mow across the hill and turn around. Even in damp grass, I usually don't break traction unless I try turning going uphill.
Overall, I recommend this mower for steep areas and for all lawns for its maneuverability, battery drive, remote control, light weight and finish cut.

I ordered and received mine in winter LOL! However this machine is well built, solid and im thinking it will do well! Ill test when i have a warm day to suck up some leaves!

I wanted to take some time to explain the reason for purchasing a Mowrator for the maintenance of my lawn. I have tried many different methods for cutting my grass and have not been happy with many of them. So, I wanted to see if there were alternatives available so I could still enjoy the maintenance of taking care of my yard, while minimizing the discomfort and exhaustion of maintaining 1/3 acre of complex lawn cutting. Listed below is an explanation of the process that I went through to finally come up that spurred on my decision to purchase a Mowrator.
Here is a list of bullet points for why I looked for lawn maintenance alternatives:
I wanted to try to get away from the noise generated by the combustion engine of a standard lawn mower in addition to the exhaust odor.
Each week that I would cut grass it would take me one or two days to recover from shoulder and hip pain.
I have a complex yard and as listed above it is 1/3 of an acre and that is a lot to cut once a week from April to October. It can take 3+ hours to cut and trim my lawn.
Bagging grass got to be a heavy and repetitive chore which added to the aforementioned shoulder and hip pain.
Alternatives for lawn maintenance (pros and cons)
1st I tried purchasing a self-propelled combustion engine lawn mower and found it still to be difficult to maneuver.
I tried purchasing a combustion engine lawn tractor. The tractor has big tires and mashes down grass. Also, the deck tilts and makes for an uneven cut for the grass when going around corners.
I tried hiring youth from our neighborhood to cut the grass but I found that the attention to detail was not great.
We hired a lawn maintenance company to cut the grass. They were expensive.
I was going to purchase an electric self-propelled mower, and then I stumbled on to electric robot mowers.
Electric robot mowers
Electric Robot mowers were very nice in theory. You set up cutting perimeters and a cutting direction and program it to cut your lawn while at work, spending time with your family or sleeping. Most are relatively silent while cutting. Some of the reviews that I read online (I research a lot) said that the mowers would get stuck in complex areas of the yard, they would lose connection while cutting and there was potential for the mower to be stolen.
Since most of those mowers use razor blades to cut the grass and they work best when cutting around ¼ inch of grass at a time, making the grass needing to be cut every one or two days. The battery will have to be charged many times, causing early wear to the battery.
When receiving the Mowrator 2WD I knew that it was solidly built due to the weight of the box. It has a 21” cut so that adds to the bulk of the box. It was packaged well, and nothing was damaged due to shipping. Due to its weight, getting it out of the box could be a two-person job. The assembly was quite easy and Mowrator supplied the tools needed in addition to easy-to-understand directions. The battery is substantial in size, but easy to tote. It came with a reasonable charge, but I still charged it the rest of the way. The charger is quite heavy duty with a fan for cooling and has a CE certification for health, safety, and environmental protection. Additionally, it has RoHS compliant components (restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances). I also noticed that while the battery is in the mower there are fans to ensure that the battery stays properly cool during use. All of this is ultimately good for the health and safety of the consumer.
The remote control is designed by a team with extensive experience in drone technology, particularly from DJI (popular drone manufacturer). FYI: The founder of Mowrator, was a former DJI team leader with eight years of experience in pioneering drone technology. The controls are easy to understand and designed for ease of use. I found that while standing behind the Mowrator it is very easy to steer. What can take a moment is steering while the Mowrator is traveling towards you as the controls for turning are the opposite. You can maneuver as fast or slow as you are comfortable with. It also has a cruise control button in addition to right and left U-turn buttons to make maneuvering easier. Because Mowrator is remote-controlled it is easier to get under low-hanging trees and close to large bushes. Now I have only used it a couple of times since we are at the end of the grass cutting season, but I am already getting familiar with the controls.
I am overall very happy with my purchase of the Mowrator S1 2WD. While it does cost more than a standard mower, I can still enjoy taking care of my lawn without the pains that would normally come with pushing a mower around. Plus, I am popular with my neighbors and family when I offer to cut their grass for them. It is that much fun!

Really need a trailer attachment, but this works in a pinch ??

Maiden mow from Alberta Canada! We are very impressed with how Mowrator handles the 30+ degree slope. Can’t wait to receive the leaf vacuum attachment .

The mowrator has been working flawlessly, and has helped massivvely
with managing my sloped yard. I particularly appreciate the updatto
the reverse speed, which has allowed me to work much faster and
reduced the amount of turning I need to do with the skid steerring.
also have some wooded acreage and it's great to be able to drive the
mower around and maintain the trails.
This device is the best solution I've found for a yard like mine, and so
far this company has been very pleasant to work with. I wishyou
continued success!

This monster can do this too!

Really well built machine with great capacity.
