FAQs

What's the difference between Mowrator S1 ADVANCED and Mowrator S1 PRO AWD?

Their primary difference lies in their slope handling capabilities: the 4WD can tackle slopes up to 75% (37 degrees), while the 2WD can manage slopes up to 45% (24 degrees).

Additionally, there's a difference in the adjustable range for cutting height: the 4WD adjusts from 1.5 to 4.3 inches, whereas the 2WD offers a range of 1.8 to 4.6 inches.

What is the cutting torque of the machine?

The cutting torque is 6.0 ft.-lbs., making it comparable to gas mowers. This design ensures that our mower can handle tall, hard grass efficiently.

How long does it work for one charge?

Mowrator's battery is 56V 18Ah Lithium iron phosphate. The runtime is up to 2.25 hours and has a cycle life of 1500 that's three times the industry average. Approximately 90 minutes for a full charge.

The choice of the blade (normal blade, high-lift blade, high-lift mulching blade), the height of the grass, the height of the grass left after mowing, and whether the lawn has slopes or is uneven can greatly affect the runtime of the battery.

With the normal blade, our battery's maximum runtime ranges from 0.6h to 3.2h.

For lawns that are maintained frequently, the runtime is generally between 2 to 3.2 hours.

For lawns that are not maintained frequently, the runtime is between 1.5 to 2 hours.

For lawns that have been neglected for a long time and have taller grass, the runtime is between 0.6 and 1.5 hours.

The mowrator has been working flawlessly, and has helped massivvely
with managing my sloped yard. I particularly appreciate the updatto
the reverse speed, which has allowed me to work much faster and
reduced the amount of turning I need to do with the skid steerring.
also have some wooded acreage and it's great to be able to drive the
mower around and maintain the trails.
This device is the best solution I've found for a yard like mine, and so
far this company has been very pleasant to work with. I wishyou
continued success!

Maiden mow from Alberta Canada! We are very impressed with how Mowrator handles the 30+ degree slope. Can’t wait to receive the leaf vacuum attachment .

This machine is a beast. I have rolled a tractor at this spot on my
property and the Mowrator just powers on up the hill. It is so ssteep in
spots that a tractor can lose traction on dry grass and then gravity will
take you for the ride of your life. Feel free to edit this video asyou see
fit. I will try to get more shots of it in action as time permits.

First battle scar. Every time I use the AWD Mowrator, I am so grateful to my son for sending me the Kickstarter link. We have a back yard that is very rocky and has slopes of 45 degrees or more in places. I had been weedeating the grass and weeds using mountain climbing gear to stabilize me as I swung the weed eater around. I can now use the Mowrator to mow almost all of the yard. I have learned that I can disable the tilt sensor and go side to side, using it in reverse to negotiate the steep slopes instead of 180 degree turns. Today I hit a couple of rocks. Then I hit an obviously large rock hidden in the grass. We had been gone for an extended trip and the grass was between 12-16 inches high. The result is what you see here. Blade bent and cutting a gash into the blade shield. Luckily, I had ordered the 3 replacement blade set. So I removed the bent blade and put on one of the high lift blades.
Some things I learned are that I appreciate the technology and detail that the Mowrator team has put into the Mowrator. It is built tough! The blade was relatively easy to replace. When I removed the blade I discovered the screws securing the blade motor were loose. In tightening the screws, I had to remove the ventilation disk and blade spacer. The spacer was very tight. I used 2 screwdrivers on opposite sides to gently pull it off. After taking off the ventilation disk, the motor mount screws were readily accessible. The ventilation disk is just a little too large to get a hex wrench to fit well on the screws without removing it. Being plastic, you have to be very careful not to break it. Also, some debris has taken out a piece of the mulcher insert. I will patch the gash with some aluminum, and maybe the mulch insert as well.
